Wie innovativ ist die sächsische Industrie?

Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht vergleicht das Innovationsverhalten der Industrie in Sachsen mit Unternehmen aus Baden und dem Forschungsdreieck Hannover-Braunschweig-Göttingen. Der Anteil innovierender Betriebe liegt in Sachsen bei 79% (im Forschungsdreieck 78%, Baden 72%). Die Innovationen beziehen sich dabei sowohl auf Produkt- als auch auf Prozeßinnovationen. Ein weiterer Indikator für die Innovationsbemühungen der sächsischen Industrie ist der Umfang der Beschäftigten im Bereich Forschung und Entwicklung. Während 1992 nur 64% aller befragten sächsischen Betriebe über Personal im FuE-Bereich verfügten, lag dieser Anteil 1995 mit 75% deutlich höher. In weiteren Kapiteln wird auf unternehmensübergreifende Kooperationen zur Innovationsförderung und auf Innovationshemmnisse eingegangen. Zusätzlich wird darauf hingewiesen, daß in Sachsen die vorhandene Infrastruktur an öffentlichen Forschungseinrichtungen einen wichtigen Beitrag zu den Innovationsaktivitäten der sächsischen Industrie leisten.
