Der Wirtschaftsstandort Dresden. Aspekte der Wirtschaftsentwicklung in der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt

Abstract

Der 1990 eingeleitete Transformationsprozeß von der administrativ gelenkten zur marktorientierten Wirtschaft hat auch Dresden vor große Anpassungsprobleme gestellt. In vielen Bereichen stand die Dresdner Wirtschaft vor der Aufgabe eines Neubeginns in ihrer Entwicklung. Für produktive neue Entwicklungen hatte die Stadt jedoch recht günstige Voraussetzungen aus ihrer Vergangenheit mitgebracht. Dresden zählte zum Zeipunkt der deutschen Wiedervereinigung zu den Städten Ostdeutschlands, die trotz jahrzehnterlanger Abschottung einen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad in der Welt für sich in Anspruch nehmen konnten. Der Bericht informiert über die positive Strukturentwicklung in Dresden, das Humankapital als bedeutsamen Standortvorteil sowie über die vielversprechenden Perspektiven, die sich aus der Entwicklung des Hochtechnologiebereiches ergibt.
