Abstract

Der Anstieg des Bruttoinlandprodukts in Deutschland um 2,9 % im Jahre 1994 führte zu einer Belebung der Nachfrage nach elektrischer Energie. Auch in den neuen Bundesländern ist der Stromverbrauch im Zuge der wirtschaftlichen Aufwärtsbewegung 1994 weiter erhöht worden. Im Jahre 1994 wurden in Ostdeutschland rund 700 MW mit Steinkohle und Erdgas befeuerte Kraftwerke in Betrieb genommen. Dem stand die Stillegung von etwa 900 MW Braunkohlenleistung gegenüber. Ein Zuwachs resultierte auch daraus, daß 140 MW industrielle Braunkohlenleistungen in die öffentliche Versorgung übernommen wurden. Fast 41 Jahre nach der Trennung der beiden deutschen Stromnetze konnte Ende Septemer 1995 ihre Zusammenschaltung erfolgen. Die Investitionen der öffentlichen Elektrizitätsversorgung in den neuen Bundesländern wurde im Jahre 1994 um 11 % auf 5.190 Mill. DM erhöht. Nach der Erhebung bei den Unternehmen in den neuen Bundesländern ist mittelfristig nur noch mit einer leichten Ausweitung der Investitionen zu rechnen.
