Verarbeitendes Gewerbe in den neuen Bundesländern : Investitionen voraussichtlich auf neuem Rekordniveau

Abstract

Der Bericht faßt die Ergebnisse der ifo Investitionsumfrage 1995 im verarbeitenden Gewerbe der neuen Bundesländer zusammen. Dabei erreichen die Investitionen voraussichtlich ein neues Rekordniveau. 1994 wurde eine Stagnation der Investitionstätigkeit ermittelt und damit ein Zurückbleiben der Investitionen hinter den Plänen realisiert. Für 1995 wird eine weitere Steigerung der Investitionen um 6 % auf 20 Mrd. DM erwartet. Während im Grundstoff- und Produktionsgütergewerbe, im Verbrauchsgüter produzierendem Gewerbe und im Nahrungs- und Genußmittelgewerbe ein leichter Rückgang der Investitionen gegenüber dem Vorjahr verzeichnet wurde, konnte im Investitionsgüter produzierendem Gewerbe das Volumen von 4.450 auf 5.900 Mill. DM ausgebaut werden. Der Hintergrund für den Investitionsschub sind dringend erforderliche Modernisierungen sowie strategische Ausrichtung der Unternehmen. Insgesamt wurde eine sehr hohe Investitionsintensität in den neuen Bundesländern ermittelt. Der Bericht beinhaltet außerdem einen Exkurs über die Abgrenzung der ifo Investitionsumfrage zur Fachstatistik der amtlichen Investitionserhebungen sowie einen Exkurs über die Statistik der Investitionszusagen in den Privatisierungsverträgen der Treuhandanstalt.
