Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im August 1995

Abstract

Die jahreszeitlich übliche Belebung des deutschen Arbeitsmarktes im August ist 1995 ausgeblieben. Bundesweit wurden 3,58 Mill. Arbeitslose gezählt, das waren lediglich 12.000 weniger als im Juli 1995. In Sachsen war im August im Gegensatz zu den anderen neuen Bundesländern sogar ein Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit zu verzeichnen. Zum Monatsende gab es hier 289.700 Arbeitssuchende, 2.200 mehr als vor Monatsfrist. Ursachen des deutlichen Anstiegs sind rückläufige Entlastung aus arbeitsmarktpolitischen Instrumenten, das dürftige Angebot an offenen Stellen und der überdurchschnittliche Zugang von Arbeitslosen. Dabei stieg die Jugendarbeitslosigkeit gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitpunkt um 34,1 %. Es besteht weiterhin Lehrstellenmangel, der in Verbindung mit Nichtübernahmen von ausgebildeten Jugendlichen, die Arbeitslosigkeit in dieser Altersklasse erhöht. Die arbeitsmarktpolitischen Maßnahmen werden weiter abgebaut, so daß in den nächsten Monaten mit keiner positiven Wendung auf dem sächsischen Arbeitsmarkt zu rechnen ist, zumal der Aufschwung der Konjunktur nur zögerlich ist.
