Aktuelle Konjunkturtendenzen in Deutschland

Abstract

Der Text beinhaltet die Konjunkturtendenzen in Deutschland im Sommer 1994. Dabei wird zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschland unterschieden. Die Konjunktur in den alten Bundesländern hat sich demnach zum Besseren gewendet. Die gesamtwirtschaftliche Produktion nahm um 2,1 % gegenüber dem Vorjahreswert zu. Auch die Kapazitätsauslastung und die Ausrüstungsinvestitionen zogen leicht an. In Ostdeutschland hat sich das Bruttoinlandsprodukt um 7,1 % gegenüber 1993 verbessert. In beiden Teilen Deutschlands ist der Arbeitsmarkt weiter gespannt und das Preisklima hat sich insgesamt beruhigt. In Westdeutschland wird der Aufwärtstrend, getragen durch die Auslandsnachfrage und Investitionstätigkeit, weiter fortdauern. Auch in den neuen Bundesländern wird die Aufwärtsentwicklung an Breite gewinnen. Stützpfeiler ist dort nach wie vor die Investitionstätigkeit. Die Situation auf dem Arbeitsmarkt ist weiterhin schwierig. Die Wirtschaftspolitik sollte im Bereich der Finanzpolitik den Schwerpunkt auf die Umstrukturierung der staatlichen Ausgaben legen. Bei der Geldpolitik sollte ein flexibler Kurs gesteuert werden, um den gesamten Spielraum der Zinssenkung auszuspielen.
