Abstract

This paper analyzed the dynamics of trade between Romania and Germany, in the post-accession period. On this background it is important to mention that in temporal interval 2007-2015, Germany was the main partner of Romania both in intra- Community trade and on the whole of international trade in goods. Therefore, during the period evoked previously there is a strong tendency of enhancing Romania's trade with Germany as indicated by the series of statistical data presented by INSSE in the Romanian International Trade Yearbook. In another train of thoughts is approached the issue of the foreign trade structure of our country with Germany in this regard highlighting a trend of increasing export of products with high added value, while the Romania's import from Germany are predominated the goods with higher degree of processing and technology. Further it is important to note that in the period 2007-2015 Germany had a share of over 20% in total Romanian exports and imports in and from EU. More than that, it is particularly relevant also the share of Germany in total foreign trade in goods of Romania which was situated in the percent quota around 18% during the reference period.Regarding the trade balance deficit of Romania in relation with Germany, should not overlook the fact that it has been a general downward trend process that involves a number of positive economic effects of the national economy. At the same time, in this scientific approach are also presented some macroeconomic measures formulated in the direction of trade balance adjustment that our country registers in relations with Germany. Finally one can say that although in the time interval 2007-2015 it is obvious the trend of Romanian imports and exports orientation mainly on German market, however its potential is still insufficiently exploited.
