Abstract

The full exploitation of a town’s knowledge potential depends not only on the quality of the education system, but also on the existence of a network and its capacity to transfer discoveries and information between industry, enterprises and academia. The policy of integrated urban development may contribute to the improvement of these aspects, precisely by encouraging the formation of specific networks and their support, promoting thus the social and intercultural dialogue.
