Da Quesnay a Gilgamesh: un viaggio nella storia alla scoperta delle radici dell'organizzazione economica e sociale (in ricordo di Giorgio Gilibert)

Abstract

Il nucleo centrale delle idee di Giorgio Gilibert è fondato nell'impostazione classica dell'economia come processo circolare, ripensato in modo estremamente originale e applicato a contesti molto differenti: dal recente articolo qui ripubblicato ai lavori precedenti sulla teoria classica del valore e sull'approccio neo-ricardiano. Nel primo egli critica la teoria della crescita endogena (Michael Kremer) e, seguendo una celebre intuizione di Quesnay, sostiene che l'innovazione tecnologica che ha permesso la nascita della prima città ha potuto esplicarsi solo grazie a tre innovazioni sociali: la scrittura, la moneta e la contabilità. Quello stesso Quesnay gli serve da riferimento nei precedenti lavori sulla trasformazione dei valori in prezzi e nella scoperta della soluzione offerta da von Karassov.
