Abstract

La ragione unica di questo lavoro è essenzialmente quella di contribuire al dibattito riguardante il Partenariato transatlantico per il commercio e gli investimenti (TTIP) cercando di spostare l'oggetto della discussione verso l'aspetto certamente più rilevante che esso pone, cioè la "regulatory cooperation". Questa non è certo l'unica peculiarità del TTIP, ma certo è quella che dovrebbe destare maggiori attenzioni analitiche per i possibili effetti sulla capacità degli Stati di legiferare nell'interesse dei cittadini senza che vi siano costrizioni legate all'esercizio di un Accordo commerciale. Questa sfida, inoltre, va inquadrata in un contesto sociale ed economico europeo fortemente indebolito dalle misure di austerità. Il movimento sindacale europeo e statunitense ne è cosciente.
