I4.0 Techs and Innovation Profiles of Italian Businesses

Abstract

L’articolo analizza la diffusione degli investimenti in tecnologie afferenti a Industria 4.0 (I4.0) da parte delle imprese italiane. A tal fine, gli autori utilizzano le informazioni contenute nella V Rilevazione imprese e lavoro (RIL) dell’INAPP. L’analisi descrittiva mette in luce una diffusione eterogenea degli investimenti I4.0 nel periodo 2015-2017. Inoltre, l’implementazione di un’analisi a corrispondenze multiple (MCA) e di una cluster analysis (CA) consente di identificare tre gruppi (cluster) di imprese, di numerosità diverse e con un differente grado di digitalizzazione. Tra questi, il gruppo più numeroso è quello delle imprese “non digitaliµ, prevalentemente di piccole dimensioni e il cui unico investimento I4.0 è quello in sicurezza informatica. Il gruppo delle “digitalizzateµ è costituito, invece, da imprese mediamente più grandi, che investono contemporaneamente in più tecnologie I4.0 adottando, dunque, una strategia “multi-technologyµ
