Quand les agentes de développement agricole cultivent l’incertitude. Stratégies de légitimation de nouveaux intermédiaires dans la construction des marchés locaux

Abstract

This paper deals with the activity of agricultural advisers in commercial exchange. Following the perspective developed by Marie-France Garcia (1986), we explain the role of these intermediaries in local agri-food markets. Ethnographic research carried out in a western department of France shows how advisers succeed in entering the core of these market by taking on three roles: the teacher, the sales representative, and the territory representative.
