Apports de la psychologie à l’analyse économique des comportements addictifs

Abstract

Both economics and psychology study individual behaviors. The aim of this paper is to identify the potential contribution of psychological science to economic theory in the field of addictive behaviors, in order to overcome the limitations of current models deriving from the theory of rational addiction. Taking into consideration the individual cognitive polyphasia as well as the role of emotions and social identity into an economic model, also permit to recommend a larger range of public policies that were previously limited to price increases and to externalities limitation.
