Abstract

In addition to the technical skills needed by future entrepreneurs, higher education institutions must now enable a wide audience to develop psycho-behavioral skills: the soft skills. In light of this, many educational tools have been developed. However, despite their popularity, we know little about their ability to mobilize these much sought-after skills among participants. Faced with this gap in research, this article seeks to answer the following question: What are the soft skills mobilized by students during their participation in an experiential entrepreneurship awareness program? Informed by the theory of experiential learning, a survey combining qualitative and quantitative data was conducted among 170 students participating in one of these experiential programs. The results obtained showed that interpersonal soft skills were mobilized in particular. Pedagogical recommendations have then been drawn so that project leaders may benefit from these findings.
