Les revenus des musiciens et l’économie des plateformes

Abstract

Digital technologies have repeatedly impacted musicians' revenues: illegal downloading, lower sales of records, new instruments, homestudios, crowdfunding, webpages, platforms, streaming, livestream, etc. Almost everything has been disrupted in the value chain, from creation to distribution. Digital technologies have increased musicians’ revenue, which remains low and variable. It has also changed income inequality between artists. The new challenge seems to be related to the sharing value among stakeholders.
