5. Y a-t-il une rationalité des comportements discriminatoires ?

Abstract

Statistical discrimination is the rejection of an individual based on the fear of what he/she might be. In some cases, social sciences use this notion to explain discrimination as a rational behavior. When recruiting, it would be rational to reject all candidates who belong to a group that is allegedly riskier. However, such a practice raises many questions, which this article explores, both in terms of the objectivity of beliefs about social groups, as well as its morality.
