8. Une introduction aux théories critiques de la mondialisation capitaliste

At the turn of the twenty-first century, the globalization of capital was followed by a reformulation of the theoretical critique of capitalism. Three main paths may be distinguished in the revival of Marxist approaches, which this article introduces. The first one construes globalization as the expression of the capitalist metabolism, constantly seeking new profit opportunities to counteract its tendencies to generate crises. The second one analyzes globalization as the maturation of a long-term political project carried out by the United States. The last one insists on the restructuration of social relations within the process of production that goes with the intensification of commercial and financial flows.
