16. Invisibiliser et éloigner : quelques tendances des politiques de la prostitution

Abstract

This paper relies on a review of different European prostitution policies (including the French policy) to show that the usual distinction between three main regimes (regulation, abolitionism and prohibition) is no longer relevant. Even if they are based on distinct legitimazing principles, these policies converge in practice towards two main goals: moralisation of public spaces and repression of (female) undocumented migrants.
