6. Criminalité et économie : un mariage efficace et durable

Abstract

Crime and economy are intimately connected and are nowadays, more than ever, inseparable. Economy is at the heart of criminal mechanisms and at the center of reflections on taking action process (motivation of perpetrators). Economy is used to find what leads to taking action, especially when connections are made between poverty, unemployment, economic crisis and crime. But economy is also at the heart of criminal activities. Modes of operations are affected by it. Economy offers new perspectives and opportunities to criminals and a wider and wider field of illegal activities.
