Les responsabilités sociétales dans l’histoire de l’exploitation pétrolière au Nigeria

Abstract

In Nigeria's history, the negative impacts of oil exploitation have affected the natural and social environment as long as the affected populations were not able to oppose elites with a credible threat of revolution or income destabilization. The process of opening political and economic access to all depends on the changing dynamics of the balance of power between elites and non-elites. The social responsibility of corporations and of other elitist organizations is also part of these dynamics.
