Abstract

The objective of this article is to examine the impact of human resource management (HRM) practices on the social performance of the Decentralized Territorial Communities (DTC) in Cameroon. The analysis based on a sample of 166 DTC has, through statistical and econometric tests, showed that there is a positive relationship between HRM practices and the social performance of DTC. In general, it appears from our study that the formalization of HRM practices within the DTC underlies the modernization of local management.
