Quand les citoyens définissent eux-mêmes les priorités de santé. Une analyse lexicométrique appliquée à la Région Centre-Val de Loire

Abstract

This paper looks at citizens? defi nition of health priorities in a region considered as a medical desert (Centre-Val de Loire). It is based on the lexicometrical analysis of responses to an open-ended question. First, it shows that the inhabitants of this region are concerned about the development of medical deserts and fear longer waiting times to consult a practitioner. It then highlights the importance of health democracy in defining health priorities. The lexicometrical analysis points to three distinct narratives. The first, which only characterizes health professionals, emphasizes the need to improve care coordination. The second aims to favour the fight against medical deserts and the third and the third bemoans the increase in waiting time for consultations with certain medical specialists.
