Décrypter le mythe du héros entrepreneur. À propos de l’ouvrage Le mythe de l’entrepreneur – Défaire l’imaginaire de la Silicon Valley d’Anthony Galluzzo (Ed. La Découverte, janvier 2023)

This article presents some key contributions of Anthony Galluzzo?s book, published in 2023. The author sets out to deconstruct, in an argumentative manner, a collective imaginary built up over more than a century around the heroic entrepreneur, totally devoted to his company, his fellow citizens and the progress of the world. This imaginary has gradually become ?heritage?, feeding the cult of individual genius and infusing the political, institutional and educational spheres of our Western societies. Deconstructing the myth lays bare our imaginary beliefs and, at the same time, opens up useful questions for practitioners, teachers and researchers in the turbulent ecological, economic and social context we are currently experiencing.
