Abstract

During the first lockdown in 2020, LiveMentor, a startup dedicated to online training and support for entrepreneurs, started a daily live session on Facebook. It then conducted a survey to evaluate the emotional state of its followers and the type of support they sought. We had access to the 131 responses to the survey and carried out an interpretative analysis to understand how these entrepreneurs used this social network to regulate their emotions in the face of the shock of the COVID-19 crisis. This study provides some insights regarding the profile of these entrepreneurs and the nature of the resources they mobilized to deal with the situation. It highlights the interest of continuing research on this underexplored topic.
