Abstract

The world of entrepreneurial coaching is experiencing a real «tipping point,» a moment of transition between a «before» and an «after» whose outlines are, however, still unclear. Today, the world is filled with many contradictions. Some are old, but recently exacerbated. Others are radical and result from the transformation of the world of work and digitalization. In this context, many coaches express a real distress and a feeling of helplessness when faced with the consequences of decisions over which they might have had no say. However, a consensus is emerging regarding the ongoing transformation of entrepreneurial coaching. Coaches describe a Darwinian reinforcement of their work, with likely structural mergers, regroupings or deletions. Furthermore, they predict a necessary increase in autonomy from public funders, an increase in competition as well as cooperation with actors, a diversification of economic models, the use of new tools (in particular digital ones), the invention of new coaching methods, both more playful and more educational. All actors insist on maintaining the «fundamentals» of the profession: human-centered support, requiring time and resources, which raises the question of financing, which is less certain than ever.
