Abstract

This paper proposes to study the efficiency of 2 522 schools, based in 647 districts in 12 countries in Southern and Eastern Africa. And then, to analyze the relationship between the efficiency of those schools and the number of inspections made in them, and also with the isolation of those schools. According to our study, it appears that schools inspected, located in urban areas, or in large town and those located less than two kilometers from the student?s home, seem to be more efficient.
