    Preţul este astăzi unul dintre cele mai discutate şi controversate concepte ale marketingului de bibliotecă. Probleme precum preţul informaţiei, introducerea taxelor sau plata serviciilor nu sunt deloc simple având implicaţii din ce în ce mai complexe. Ele au determinat chiar o anumită confuzie în viaţa bibliotecilor în special la nivelul managementului, deoarece autoritatea acestor instituţii nu ştie cum să procedeze şi trece uneori de la o extremă la alta, de la totala gratuitate la total contra cost. Articolul de faţă încearcă să aducă unele clarificări, concluzionând că de fapt soluţia ar fi una de mijloc adică plata unor servicii şi oferta gratuită a altora.
