Globálne aspekty automobilového priemyslu

Abstract

Automobilový priemysel 20. storočia môžeme označiť ako „priemysel priemyslov“. Jeho produkty sú zodpovedné za takmer polovicu spotreby svetovej ropy. Vytvára približne 10% HDP vyspelých krajín a každé deviate pracovné miesto. Okrem samotnej výroby motorových vozidiel predstavuje automobilový priemysel množstvo ďalších nadväzujúcich výrob. Na montáž automobilov je priamo napojených viacero dodávateľov dielov a komponentov a následne ich vlastných subdodávateľov z rôznych priemyselných odvetví. Automobilový priemysel je teda komplexným odvetvím, ktoré primárne vplýva na strojársky, hutnícky, elektrotechnický, chemický priemysel i výrobu gumy a plastov. Sekundárne, v súvislosti s rozširovaním výrobných kapacít a budovaním priemyselných zón, podporuje rozvoj stavebníctva. V oblasti ťažobného priemyslu sú jeho produkty zodpovedné za spotrebu takmer 50% ropy a kaučuku, 25% skla a 15% ocele.
