Cesta Evropské Unie K Arktické Politice

Abstract

Rozsáhlé území Arktidy přitahuje pozornost nejen arktických pobřežních států, ale i dalších aktérů a mezi nimi také Evropské Unie. Příspěvek představuje arktickou angažovanost EU ve formálním i obsahovém pohledu. Ze srovnání strategických dokumentů EU plyne, že EU dlouhodobě a konzistentně připomíná tři témata: ochranu životního prostředí, udržitelný rozvoj a otázky mezinárodní správy Arktidy. Text shrnuje také evropské snahy o získání pozorovatelského statutu v Arktické radě a důvody, proč EU tohoto ještě nedosáhla.
