Abstract

Článok sa zaoberá veľmi citlivou a často marginalizovanou témou, ktorou je arménska genocída. Genocída sa uskutočnila počas 1. svetovej vojny vo vtedajšej Osmanskej ríši na území dnešného Turecka. Genocída arménskeho národa bola dôsledkom konfliktu dvoch mocensky nerovných etník. Arménska genocída je prvou modernou genocídou 20. storočia, ktorá predstavovala vo svojej masovosti a organizovanosti jav dovtedy celkom atypický.
