Politické, socio-ekonomické a kultúrne faktory demokratizácie

Abstract

Počet štátov s demokratickým režimom sa zvyšuje od polovice sedemdesiatych rokov, kedy došlo k pádu autoritárskych režimov v južnej Európe a demokracia sa postupne stáva univerzálnou hodnotou. Faktory, ktoré ovplyvňujú tieto procesy sú predmetom výskumu vedcov zaoberajúcich sa danou problematikou. Príspevok je zameraný na konceptualizáciu a kategorizáciu jednotlivých teórií s cieľom vytvoriť metodologický rámec pre výskum vnútorných faktorov demokratizácie. Na základe analýzy dostupných štúdií vymedzujeme základné politické, socio-ekonomické a kultúrne faktory, ktoré majú pozitívny a negatívny vplyv na vznik a udržanie demokracie.
