Postsovětský Ázerbájdžán a militarizace Kaspického moře

Abstract

Tato studie se pokouší analyzovat geopolitické postavení postsovětského Ázerbájdžánu jako klíčové regionální země na pomezí kaspické pánve a černomořsko-středoasijského regionu, Evropy a Asie. Akcent je přitom kladen na dobu poté, co došlo v letech 2005 - 2006 k operacionalizaci z geopolitického hlediska nesmírně významného ropovodu Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, který propojil ropná ložiska ázerbájdžánské části Kaspického moře s ropným terminálem v tureckém Středomoří. Z tematického hlediska je článek orientován na vysvětlení geopolitických souvislostí Ázerbájdžánu a zkoumaného areálu – zejména s ohledem na pokračující soupeření USA a Ruska v regionu i militarizaci Kaspického moře pobřežními státy.
