Ropná Kríza Koncom Roku 1973

Abstract

Ropná kríza, ktorú vyvolal ozbrojený arabsko-izraelský konflikt na Blízkom východe, narušila rovnováhu vo svetovom hospodárstve. V reakcii na podpor USA Izraelu v októbrovej vojne 1973, Organizácia arabských krajín vyvážajúca ropu (OAPEC) uvalila embargo na vývoz ropy do USA a Holandska a zároveň znížila ťažbu, čím obmedzila množstvo ropy určenej na export. Napriek tomu, že nedošlo k vážnemu nedostatku ropy na svetových trhoch, jej cena sa vyšplhala na štvornásobok a škodlivo postihla hospodárstvo mnohých krajín. Odlišný dopad krízy na USA a ZSSR ovplyvnil ďalší vývoj studenej vojny.
