Kanadské Parlamentné Voľby 2015

Abstract

Parlamentné voľby (voľby do dolnej komory kanadského parlamentu Snemovne obcí) sa v Kanade uskutočnili 19. októbra 2015. Kanadskí voliči vyberali nové zloženie rozhodujúcej komory parlamentu a následne tak nepriamo rozhodovali aj o novej vláde. Konzervatívna strana sa pokúšala obhájiť svoj mandát, nakoľko v roku 2011 bola schopná po dvoch menšinových vládach schopná vytvoriť väčšinovú vládu na čele so Stephenom Harperom (Stephen Harper vykonával funkciu ministerského predsedu už od roku 2006). Okrem Konzervatívnej strany súťažili o mandáty v parlamente zástupcovia dvoch ďalších veľkých celonárodných strán – Liberálnej strany a Novej demokratickej strany. Kľúčovými témami volieb boli ekonomika, životné prostredie, zdravotníctvo, ale aj Sýria a postoj Kanady k imigrantom. Stephenovi Harperovi sa nepodarilo zopakovať volebný úspech z roku 2011 a do úradu premiéra nastúpil liberál Justin Trudeau, ktorý zopakoval úspech svojho otca Pierra Trudeaua z roku 1968. Liberálna strana nového premiéra Justina Trudeaua získala v novom parlamente pohodlnú väčšinu. Voľby v roku 2015 zopakovali trend poklesu popularity Quebeckého bloku (čo do počtu odovzdaných hlasov) a dominantného postavenia troch rozhodujúcich celonárodných strán.
