Abstract

The phenomenon of external migration represents a major problem Romania is facing, with negative effects on the labor market, economic growth and families. The factors underlying this phenomenon are economic, social and cultural. The present work aims to analyze through econometric methods if the decision to leave the country is taken according to gender and macroregion. The chi-square test was used in data analysis and interpretation.
