Perspektiven des deutschen Geldmarktes

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht - ausgehend von der These, daß sich auch in der Bundesrepublikein Geldmarktnach angelsächsischem Vorbild durchsetzen wird - wie die weitere Entwicklung des derzeitigen deutschen Geldmarktes in den nächsten Jahren verlaufen dürfte, sprunghaft als „ strukturelle Diskontinuität“ oder moderat als „ kontrollierter Übergang“. Ausgehend von der Darstellung der anhaltenden Deregulierungsbestrebungen in Deutschland, insbesondere bei der umstrittenen Mindestreservepflicht, werden die Marktpotentiale von Commercial Paper, Geldmarktfonds und Termingeldern analysiert sowie die Interessenlage der maßgeblichen Marktteilnehmer und voraussichtliche Wettbewerbsentwicklungen aufgezeigt; dazu werden potentielle Gewinner und Verlierer identifiziert.
