Abstract

Laut einer aktuellen Studie (2012) planen 56 % aller deutschen und österreichischen Banken in den nächsten Jahren Investitionen in Cloud-Lösungen. Hierbei versprechen sich die Institute vor allem Kostenersparnis, verbrauchsabhängige Abrechnung, unternehmerische Kontinuität und Flexibilität und die Verwendung von Green IT. Beim Cloud Computing werden abstrahierte IT-Infrastrukturen (z. B. Rechenkapazität, Datenspeicher, Netzwerkkapazitäten oder auch fertige Software) dynamisch an den Bedarf angepasst und über ein Netzwerk zur Verfügung gestellt. Aus Nutzersicht scheint die zur Verfügung gestellte IT-Infrastruktur fern und undurchsichtig, wie von einer „Wolke/Cloud“ verhüllt. Es liegt daher auf der Hand, dass sich Finanzinstitute nicht nur aus technischer Sicht einige Gedanken machen müssen, wenn sie Cloud-Computing-Produkte einsetzen wollen, sondern auch aus der Sicht des Aufsichtrechts, dort insbesondere des § 25a Abs. 2 KWG und der MaRisk.
