Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert im Rahmen einer Zeitreihenstudie die wechselseitigen Abhängigkeiten zwischen Umsatz und Geld- Brief-Spannen. Wie verhalten sich Marketmaker, wenn der Umsatz in einem Wertpapier plötzlich steigt? Passen Investoren ihre Handelsaktivität an geänderte Geld-Brief-Spannen an? Antworten auf diese Fragen sind sowohl von wissenschaftlichem als auch von praktischem Interesse. Sie erlauben zum einen den Test bekannter Modelle zur Mikrostruktur von Finanzmärkten und geben zum anderen Anlegern Hinweise auf das optimale Timing von Wertpapieraufirägen.
