Reinigungsarbeit zwischen Professionalisierung und ökonomischem Druck

Abstract

Betrachtet man die Beschäftigtenzahlen, so ist die Gebäudereinigung mit fast 700.000 Beschäftigten das größte Handwerk Deutschlands. Auch deshalb ist die Frage, welche Chance Professionalisierungsbestrebungen in diesem Bereich haben, von hoher Bedeutung. Als Zwischenergebnis unseres Forschungsprojekts „Arbeitsfelder der Ankunft“ (gefördert von der Hans-BöcklerStiftung) beschreiben wir sektorale Veränderungen und kontrastieren sie mit zentralen Merkmalen der Beruflichkeit, um zu zeigen, wie Liberalisierungstendenzen im Handwerk, hoher Kostendruck und Schwächen hinsichtlich des beruflichen Selbstverständnisses Professionalisierungsprozesse behindern.
