Abstract

In grundlegenden Lerntheorien wird ein maßgeblicher Einfluss von Lernumgebungen auf Lernprozesse seit langem plausibel dargelegt. Empirische Belege, besonders im Bereich der beruflichen Bildung, sind immer noch rar. Die hier dargestellte Studie vergleicht Lernwege von 150 gewerblich-technischen Berufsanfängern im Kontext der Großindustrie mit einer Vergleichsgruppe aus kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen. Nach Ablauf eines Ausbildungsjahres unter sehr unterschiedlichen Bedingungen zeigen sich deutliche Differenzen der Probandengruppen bei der Bewältigung einer domänenspezifischen beruflichen Entwicklungsaufgabe. Die qualitativen Forschungsergebnisse illustrieren den Einfluss unterschiedlicher Ausbildungsumgebungen und -methoden auf die Kompetenzentwicklung von Auszubildenden. Mit Einordnung der Studie in die lerntheoretische Diskussion werden Optionen aufgezeigt, wie potentielle Einflussfaktoren des Arbeitskontextes auf berufliches Lernen konkreter untersucht werden können.
