Abstract

Die Einführung eines Umweltmanagements ist in Kleinbetrieben vergleichsweise wenig verbreitet. Anhand eines Modellprojekts in der Bauwirtschaft soll aufgezeigt werden, unter welchen Voraussetzungen das Umweltmanagement als Katalysator für sozial-ökologische Lernprozesse in Kleinunternehmen wirken kann. Eine kommunikative und organisatorische Einbettung von Managementsystemen ist erforderlich für ihre Anschlussfähigkeit an kleinbetriebliche Strukturen. Ein umweltorientierter Organisationswandel bleibt begrenzt, wenn es nicht gelingt, paternalistische Kommunikationsmuster in Kleinunternehmen zu verändern.
