Analysis of the economics situation in agriculture of the Slovak republic

Abstract

Agricultural co-operatives in Slovakia were orientated on original production in the first place, in foreign countries services for farmers prevailed (e.g. deliveries of seed for sowing, fertilisers, distribution of agricultural products). In the last five years agriculture agricultural co-operatives had the largest share of farmland in the Slovak Republic. Legal entities with limited liability were represented in the largest proportion in the Slovakian agriculture. Farmers operating on a private basis of total farmland utilised only a small part of area.Now is a big problem to reach profitable in agricultural business economy and in differences of annual results between agricultural enterprises in the Slovak Republic.
