The area of applied economics has not been excluded from this process. Together with the development of financial and capital markets, the economic data for economic analysis are demanded. The aim of this paper is to work out the pyramidal system of financial and economical evaluation of corporations to be used for both, the analysis of single enterprise and whole industries. The paper stems from the doctorate dissertation thesis, defended by author at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Agriculture, in 2000. The dissertation contains wider analysis of problem, including the definition of magnitudes and application of methodology. The methodology has been applied to analyze the financial and economic results of corporations in Czech Republic in selected industries, including agriculture, food industry, transport, trade, machinery and construction industry. The average number of corporation analyzed between 1993-1997 per year was more than 280.
