Abstract

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate, through an econometric model of correlation between production and consumption of Czech beer and their value in economic terms. The objective is to interpret the calculated structural parameters of the different variables and perform the verification of their economic and statistical terms. In accordance with the initially formulated hypothesis was confirmed that the Czech beer production is influenced by its own consumption, its exports to foreign markets and the consumer price. Czech beer consumption is influenced by the volume of beer production, consumer income and time trends in consumption, as expressed in this equation using the time vector. Results of the analysis of the determinants of production and consumption of Czech beer using econometric techniques to a large extent support the real facts and future trends and can serve as an aid to strategic decisions of breweries management.
