Abstract

The article presents the experience and prospective projects of organising cybernetic and systems education in Russia, based on a correlation between the evolution of cybernetics and systems thinking with the evolution of paradigms in the philosophy of science. The necessity of considering national specificities in the formation and development of these fields of knowledge within educational processes is substantiated. A master's program for the foundational course ‘Evolution of Cybernetics (Philosophical–Methodological Analysis)” is presented, along with an analysis of its pilot implementation results for both natural science (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology—MIPT) and humanities specialties (Samara State University). Original pedagogical technologies for this type of educational process have been developed, adapted and tested. The article presents projects for organising cybernetic and systems education for interdisciplinary scholars (Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences) and for managers and civil servants (the International Research Institute for Advanced Systems—the member of the International Federation for Systems Research).
