Tabasco And Nafta Expansion In Central America

Abstract

The processes of globalization and integration have contributed to Mexican integration in NAFTA. It is well known that a free trade agreement with Central America has limited possibilities in the American Congress. However, through Mexico, Central America has a good chance to begin with the first step: formalization. In this process, the Mexican State of Tabasco will be important because of its natural resources, especially oil and wood. Tabasco has unique opportunities to the American and Canadian markets.
