An Introduction to Dynamic Programming

Abstract

In the course of their work statisticians are frequently called on to make the acquaintance of, and possibly to use, techniques from other fields, such as operational research. One such technique is Dynamic Programming; in this expository article Dr Simpson explains it in simple terms.
