Abstract

I review historic and contemporary circumstances and issues linked with the ownership of land. I emphasize the importance of land ownership in influencing economic relations which are important to our understanding of the economy itself, the formation of the economy, winners, and losers. J'examine les circonstances et les enjeux historiques et contemporains liés à la propriété foncière. Je mets en évidence l'importance de celle‐ci dans l’évolution des relations économiques, essentielles pour comprendre l’économie elle‐même, sa formation, ainsi que les dynamiques qui créent des gagnants et des perdants.
