Boeing SLIP: Computer produced and maintained printed book catalogs

Abstract

The Boeing SLIP system provides a method for producing distributable printed book catalogs for all types of library materials, utilizing IBM 7094, 7090, or 709 computers. Initial input is by either punched paper tape or cards. Basic to the program is a core storage method utilizing string tables and sorting principles analogous to those of LC. Outputs are alphabetical printed lists in a variety of formats.
