Tại sao sinh viên từ xa trường Đại học Mở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh bỏ học?

Abstract

Tác giả đã phỏng vấn điện thoại 568 sinh viên Khóa 2010 theo học 9 ngành cử nhân đào tạo từ xa Trường Đại học Mở TP.HCM đã bỏ học. Họ nghỉ học bởi những lý do nội tại và lý do từ bên ngoài nhưng phần lớn do những tác nhân bên ngoài. Lý do nội tại chiếm 15,9%. bao gồm không hài lòng với chương trình đào tạo, thiếu động lực và quan tâm đến học từ xa, năng lực không đáp ứng yêu cầu học tập và những lý do khác. Nguyên nhân nghỉ học từ yếu tố bên ngoài chiếm 84,1% bao gồm không có thời gian, chuyển trường, vấn đề về sức khỏe hay gia đình, địa điểm học xa, học phí cao và thiếu thông tin về lịch học.
